Febreze Carpet Care Review & {$100 AMEX} Giveaway

June has been a rainy month for us here in Minnesota.  We needed the rain, but not as much as some parts of the state got.  You may have heard about the terrible flooding in Duluth?

Having children and a dog when mother nature provides us with wet and muddy weather does a number on our carpets.  Having a busy family in general adds to the wear and tear on your rugs and carpet, but the dirt and the stains are another situation.

I am so thrilled to have been contacted by Febreze™ Carpet Care to try out their product and share with you my experience.  With summer here and the kids getting dirty playing outside we've noticed that the carpets are turning shades of grey and some stains are appearing from the dog tracking in mud during our recent rainstorms.  If your household is anything like ours, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.  To keep them fresh looking and smelling,  Febreze™ Carpet Care is a fantastic solution.  Not only are our carpets looking new, they are smelling fresh, too.  My husband and I have always loved using Febreze™
to freshen up our home.  They offer a variety of fragrances and we've always been very pleased with the product.

Our puppy is very well potty trained, but when he gets excited he's known to piddle -  Febreze™Carpet Care has worked wonders for when this happens.  It's no longer embarassing trying to clean up in front of a guest, because the Febreze cleans and freshens instantly.  It's designed to remove tough pet stains and odors (urine, vomit, feces, blood and more) and the stains won't reappear.  I don't want people walking into our home and the first thing they smell is a 'dog'.  I want them to be surprised that we have a pet in our home and not have the smell of one. Febreze™ Carpet Care has been the perfect solution.

there's always those 'mystery' stains, nobody knows what it is or who put it there...

Tree sap is hard enough to get off of your skin. Try removing a trail of it from your carpet. Even with 2 kids, tree sap from a Christmas tree has been the most difficult. The smell of a fresh cut tree may outweigh the trouble though ;)

Oh do I have a stain story for you! During Easter we had purchased a egg dye kit. The baby had been playing with the box in the living room & when it was time to open the dye kit we had noticed the dye tablets were crumbled & leaking out of package. Not thinking anything about it, we got our carpets shampooed a few days later. Next morning after carpets were cleaned we noticed a few multi colored spots on our carpet! To make a long story short we tried everything we could think of & end result was had to replace the carpet :(

just the other day, actually, I came across a bizarre stain on my carpet!!! My daughter squeezed a tube of desitin diaper rash cream on the carpet, which is waterproof. I still can't get it off, because the stain just repells water.

When we moved into our house we came across a huge round stain on the master bedroom carpet. We were baffled - we hadn't seen the stain in the dozens of times we went through the house before. Then I looked at pics I took of the house before the old owners moved out and noticed they had an area rug over that part of the carpet - they were hiding the stain! We had no idea what it was and it grossed me out - needless to say, that carpet went out the door quickly!!

I'm not sure it's bizarre but orange stains have been on our carpet that I'm pretty sure are from orange soda.

When I moved to my new apartment, I notice something that looked like a stain, however, I soon realized that it was probably am spot that was hit by the morning sun, and it has made a stain or decoloration. I thought this was bizarre.

some weird "tannish" stain that we dont have a clue where it came from

The most bizarre stain I found on the carpet was little black spots- more like the color of dirt. I'm thinking maybe one of the kids spilled something- like a drink. I never got the stains out and the carpet has been replaced since.

Bizarre would be a live XMAS tree that dropped some sort of sap or? all over in spots that NEVER came out! erinnsluka@gmail.com

With the babysitter, the kids melted shaved crayons in muffin tins. They took them out too soon & laid one on the playroom floor. Melted wax was left behind. After the sitter left, my daughter went to her playroom & cut the wax (and carpet) out. Then to hide the hole she slid her babydoll bed over it. Her birthday is July 1 ... she'll be 9..... Happy Birthday Emma!

The worst mystery stain we had was a giant, greenish, blobby splat! It was immpossible to remove and ended up under an area rug in the end. It turned out to be from a container of slime! That gooey stuff they make for kids to play with. Worst invention ever!

I'm not sure what most of my stains are. With 3 kids, 2 cats and a husband it always seems like there is stain that needs to be cleaned.

Probably the rust stain on our cream colored carpet. It is now a mustard color after it had been treated with a bit of bleach. FAIL!

This stain makes me shudder to this day. We were dog sitting for my mother-in-law and her Boston Terrier has a tendency to get into everything. She found some cat poop in our backyard (and we don't even have a cat!), ate it, and then promptly came in and threw it up on my dining room rug. The smell and appearance was worse than any diaper blowout I ever experienced when my son was a baby. It sure would have been nice to have the Febreeze Carpet Care system!

We always have mystery stains everywhere. With 3 boys & 2 dogs I gave up trying to figure out what it is

I hate the big, black dark stains in our carpet that I guess have come from normal tread in the entryway. Nothing I've tried makes it look better...

Is blackberry juice bizarre? It certainly looks ugly on my dining room rug. I was making blackberry cobbler and dropped a couple of berries, apparently. Someone walked on them and into the dining room. Now it looks like purple ink smeared into the rug. Sigh.

My husband insisted on wearing his shoes to do the P90X workout. They must have been really dirty because they made scuff marks all over our carpet. It's been months and I still can't get them out! Usually the cause of carpet stains are the usual kid and dog stains. The difference is I can get all of theirs' out! Who would've thought that my husband would be the one who made the permanent stains?
